forwardDallas! Meeting Schedule Update

April 14, 2006

At the April 6, 2006 Plan Commission public hearing regarding the ForwardDallas! Comprehensive Plan, staff indicated that we were in the process of producing a revised Policy Plan. The objective of this document is to clearly layout the manner in which the City strives to achieve its vision by guiding future decisions and outlining key initiatives to this end

Our goal was to be able to distribute the revised Policy Plan to the public and the Plan Commission this week. Staff recognizes the significance of this document and maintains a strong commitment to ensuring careful consideration of the abundance of quality public input that we have received throughout this process. We are continuing to work to achieve this objective. Outlined below is a revised schedule that the Plan Commission discussed to ensure that the document that we provide to the Plan Commission and the public represents staff's best recommendation and is reflective of the many voices that we have heard throughout this process.

  • April 20, 2006, 1:30 p.m. - Continued public hearing. Revised Policy Plan distributed to the Plan Commission and public.
  • May 4, 2006, 1:30 p.m. Plan Commission Hearing - Continued public input and deliberation by the City Plan Commission
  • May 11, 2006, 1:30 p.m. – Possible Plan Commission Hearing and continued public input and deliberation by the City Plan Commission.
  • April 26, 2006, 6:30 p.m. - Advisory Committee meeting with John Fregonese. Dallas City Hall.
