The initial activities of the eight
Community Workshops are complete. The eight Community workshops
were a great success, with over 1,200 people sharing their vision
of how the City of Dallas can move progressively forward over
the next several decades.
Beginning in late January, 2005, the City will hold four Open
Houses which will present the results of the eight Community Workshops.
Please note: the same information and material will be presented
at all the Open Houses. Information on the Open Houses is
available via the links found below.
Two City-wide Workshops will be held in February. The
City-wide workshops are open to everyone, although each City-wide Workshop
will cover the same, comprehensive scope of scenario building at
a city-wide scale. At these "hands-on" workshops, participants
will engage in a mapping exercise designed to allow them to share
their ideas for patterns of development over the next several decades.
